What’s on in York this June?
June boasts a plethora of great events in York, starting with the Majesty: Monarchy and York Minster on 1st June 2023, discover York Minster’s royal connections and collections through an exhibition exploring the cathedral’s centuries-old relationship with the monarchy in celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III.
From 2nd – 15th June 2023, visit York’s Festival of Ideas. Meet world-class speakers, experience incredible performances, join entertaining family activities, explore York on guided tours, and more! With topics ranging from archaeology to art, history to health and politics to psychology, the Festival promises something for all ages and interests.
York Pride returns on Saturday 3rd June 2023. York Pride day gets off to a fabulous start with our Parade March from York Minster, through the streets of York city centre to our Festival site on the Knavesmire. The main event of York Pride returns to the Knavesmire, bigger and better than ever before!
And they’re off! York Races is holding their June meeting on the 16th (Mid Summer Raceday) & 17th (52nd Macmillan Charity Raceday) of June at York Racecourse. Get your tickets now.
On Sunday 18th June visit the Yorkshire Modified Car Show in Malton from 10am – 4pm. Then from 4.30pm – 10.30pm visit the York Proms in York’s Museum Gardens for the 2023 Proms.
